Red Onion and Olive Tart…

Here’s an absolutely delicious Red Onion and Olive Tart Recipe that’s great for anytime. I found this recipe on the website of Sweet Paul’s, they used olives for their tart but I changed mine up with yummy Tapenade spread that I bought at Trader Joe’s, which I always keep on hand in my well stocked pantry…Okay, seriously my pantry desperately needs to be restocked soon but I’ve been a little busy working my tail off…note to self…restock the pantry…lol!

Back to…Tapenade spread is finely chopped olives, capers, anchovies and olive oil. Its name comes from the Provençal word for capers, tapenas. It is a popular food in the south of France, where it is generally eaten as an hors d’oeuvre, spread on bread. And this is exactly what I did, I topped my puff pastry with red onions, tapenade spread, asiago cheese, rosemary seasoned it with salt and pepper drizzled olive oil on top and after 20 minutes out came the most light delectable melt in your mouth Red Onion and Olive Tart.

Always be on the search for something new to try…
