The New Healthy means healthier cocktails too! Here’s my refreshing Citrus Fizz Cocktail recipe to indulge in when you need a little sunshine during the winter months. I’m not totally giving up on some recreation and rewards! Neither should you!
I adapted this recipe from The Ramos House restaurant in San Juan Capistrano. My family loves this restaurant and we visit it often, jumping on the Amtrak train and riding down to San Juan Capistrano for a fun filled day trip. The kids absolutely love train rides, so we travel every couple of months somewhere on the train to experience our beautiful city. If you haven’t taken the Amtrak train on a local excursion, I highly suggest you get going. It’s really convenient to get to San Juan Capistrano, Santa Barbara or San Diego — we’ve even been as far as Oakland. Since we weren’t driving, Tyson and I indulged in the Citrus Fizz Cocktail at The Ramon House! This delightful cocktail inspired me create my own version as I get inspired every time I visit a great authentic restaurant that wets my whistle!
We’re blessed here on the west coast with Sunshine…so get out and enjoy it this weekend!

Train stop at San Juan Capistrano. The Ramos House is walking distance from here and so is the San Juan Capistrano Mission. Here’s the 1800’s Kitchen in the San Juan Capistrano Mission. I think I could cook something yummy in this kitchen! LOL
