Who doesn’t love a Easy Holiday Cocktail Party?

I threw a small and super fun Holiday Cocktail Party to say thank you to the people the help me with all my crazy projects here at Ali in the Valley. I put together this easy breezy menu of bites that can be assembled before guests arrive, along with my a super festive Pinterest cocktail find.  All the these recipes are so easy that it allowed me to attend to more important tasks, like mixing, mingling, and being the social butterfly that I am.

This Very Merry Ornamentini cocktail which I found on Pinterest is from IBC, it’s a simple variation on a classic cosmopolitan with vodka as the base, added cranberry juice, cherry juice, orange liqueur, and a splash of freshly squeezed orange juice. Super cute, tasty great and is the merriest of martinis.

My yummy Mac and Cheese Bites are always a winner and are the perfect finger food! Adults and kids alike go crazy for them. My kids have already requested these get put on the menu again for their upcoming party this week and If you are looking for a people pleasing recipe, this recipe is fantastic!

Skirt Steak and Chicken Skewers with Cilantro-Garlic Sauce are easy to make and services all eaters. I do my best to eat clean and keep the carbs and sugar to a minimum in our diet. I’m not saying I’m perfect, but meals like this make it easy. The flavor is really good, and the meat practically melts in your mouth it’s so tender. The other great thing about this recipe is that it doesn’t take too long to prepare, and cooking doesn’t take long either. Slice the meat and prepare the marinade then throw them on the grill. Super easy but the tasty Cilantro Garlic Sauce takes it up a whole another notch.

These Christmas Tree Pull Apart Bread  is a simple and cute holiday appetizer! It taste amazing, look impressive, and are easy to make and it’s the guilty pleasure dish that will melt in your mouth.

That’s it for my Easy Holiday Cocktail Party.  I hope you try some of these recipes and when you do make sure to leave me a comment or tag #aliinthevalley so I can see how you enjoyed them!

Very Merry Ornamentini

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • 1 cup of vodka

  • ½ cup de orange liqueur (I prefer Conintreau)

  • ½ cup cherry juice

  • ¼ cup cranberry juice

  • ¼ cup orange juice (freshly squeezed with pulp removed)

  • Sugared cranberries (recipe on site and fresh rosemary sprigs to garnish)

Directions

  • Use 100% juice. I found mine in the juice at Trader Joes.
  • Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously.
  • Using a funnel, pour the mixture into four 3-inch clear glass ornaments (bought at Michaels) that have been rinsed. Replace the topper on each ornament.
  • Add sugared cranberries and rosemary sprig to four martini glasses. Set the ornament in the glass to serve. Before drinking, slowly pour the contents of the ornament onto the cranberries.
