Easy and Fresh Braised Green Beans



So far so good with summer time! We’re having a blast and I’m cooking up a storm but it’s all about healthy meals quick and easy! Fresh fruit and tons of vegetable side dishes.  I love simple side dishes that compliment any main course meal.  Here is a very simple and easy side dish recipe!

Easy and Fresh Braised Green Beans



  1. 1 pound of trimmed green beans

  2. 1- cup chicken stock or broth

  3. 5 peeled garlic

  4. 2 teaspoons fresh thyme leaves

  5. Extra-virgin olive oil

  6. Salt and pepper to taste

  7. Lemon slices


  1. In a large skillet, bring 1-cup chicken stock and 5 peeled cloves garlic to a simmer over medium-high. Add 1 pound trimmed green beans and fresh thyme leaves. Cover and cook until tender, about 8 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, drizzle with extra-virgin olive oil, and serve with lemon slices.
